Under the motto \u201cBoost Your Dealflow\u201d, the Investor Days Th\u00fcrin\u00adgen took place on June 15th<\/sup> and 16th<\/sup> 2021. This high-pro\u00adfile event, orga\u00adnized annu\u00adally by STIFT and bm|t, once again brought together over 500 par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpants from the startup scene, SMEs, indus\u00adtry and, of course, numer\u00adous national and inter\u00adna\u00adtional investors with the aim of gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00ading strong deal flow and facil\u00adi\u00adtat\u00ading collaborations.<\/p>\n

This year, the dig\u00adi\u00adtal for\u00admat again attracted great inter\u00adna\u00adtional inter\u00adest, with 67 appli\u00adca\u00adtions from 10 coun\u00adtries. Inno\u00adva\u00adtions from all over Ger\u00admany, Aus\u00adtria, Israel, Italy, New Zealand, Spain, South Africa, the Czech Repub\u00adlic, Hun\u00adgary and Uruguay joined the event.  The future tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies attracted a lot of atten\u00adtion from financiers: 165 investors from the DACH region, the Nether\u00adlands, Bel\u00adgium, France, the USA, China, Bahrain and the UK attended the Investor Days.<\/p>\n

Mod\u00ader\u00adated by Chris\u00adtiane Kil\u00adian (STIFT), Katja Butz\u00admann (bm|t)<\/a> and Stephan Beier (bm|t),<\/a> this year\u2019s event was broad\u00adcast via livestream from Erfurt\u2019s mul\u00adti\u00adfunc\u00adtional arena.<\/p>\n

The stage for future innovations<\/strong><\/h5>\n

At the Pitch Day on June 15th<\/sup>, 23 selected start-ups and 13 growth com\u00adpa\u00adnies pre\u00adsented their busi\u00adnesses on the dig\u00adi\u00adtal pitch stage. 28 other inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive projects pre\u00adsented their prod\u00aducts and busi\u00adness mod\u00adels in plazz AG\u2019s vir\u00adtual inno\u00adva\u00adtion arena.  Between the pitch ses\u00adsions, the inter\u00adac\u00adtive event offered plenty of space for know-how exchange, inspi\u00adra\u00adtion and net\u00adwork\u00ading. Here, the audi\u00adence could not only scout new tech\u00adnolo\u00adgies, but also get to know the founders per\u00adson\u00adally, whether via video con\u00adver\u00adsa\u00adtions, dur\u00ading 1:1 match\u00adings or via one-minute speed pitches. The range of com\u00adpa\u00adnies was wide as usual \u2014 from cyber secu\u00adrity and AI solu\u00adtions, to space tech and robot\u00adics, to green solu\u00adtions, med tech and smart farming.<\/p>\n

Applause for the pitch winners<\/strong><\/h5>\n

The high\u00adlight of the day was the pre\u00adsen\u00adta\u00adtion of the Pitch Awards for the best start-up con\u00adcepts. Dur\u00ading a live vot\u00ading, the par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpat\u00ading investors voted for the most con\u00advinc\u00ading pitch per\u00adfor\u00admances, which were awarded live by the hosts and State Sec\u00adre\u00adtary Valentina Kerst. The audi\u00adence was also able to sup\u00adport their favorites and vote online for the Pub\u00adlic Award win\u00adner.         Start-ups meet industry<\/strong><\/h5>\n

        The goal of the sec\u00adond day of the Investor Days was to bring start-ups together with indus\u00adtry in order to accel\u00ader\u00adate inno\u00adva\u00adtions as well as to force supra-regional and inter\u00adna\u00adtional knowl\u00adedge trans\u00adfer, trans\u00adfor\u00adma\u00adtion processes and open inno\u00adva\u00adtion. To this end, experts pre\u00adsented prac\u00adti\u00adcal approaches that cre\u00adate a basis for new col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtions and processes. In addi\u00adtion, two bm|t Investee part\u00adners, Engin\u00adsight GmbH<\/a> and Poly\u00adtives GmbH<\/a>, reported on their expe\u00adri\u00adences in coop\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion between start-up and cor\u00adpo\u00adrate cus\u00adtomers or strate\u00adgic part\u00adners. Addi\u00adtional speak\u00aders for these top\u00adics from Fraun\u00adhofer IMW Leipzig, EY as well as the Th\u00fcrin\u00adgen entre\u00adpre\u00adneur Ren\u00e9 Mehn\u00adert from Mehn\u00adert Lab Erfurt shared their expe\u00adri\u00adences with the IDT guests. Match\u00ading ses\u00adsions at vir\u00adtual tables com\u00adple\u00admented the event and made it pos\u00adsi\u00adble to find points of con\u00adtact for cooperation.<\/p>\n
