WEINERT has entered into an agree\u00adment with both ATC (Pty) Ltd and Pow\u00adertech Tele\u00adcom Cables (Pty) Ltd to acquire CBI Elec\u00adtric Tele\u00adcom Cables (Pty) Ltd in Brits, North West Province, South Africa. The acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion, sub\u00adject to var\u00adi\u00adous approvals is expected to reach com\u00adple\u00adtion within the third quar\u00adter of 2023.<\/strong><\/p>\n

CBIs\u2019 exten\u00adsive expe\u00adri\u00adence in the pro\u00adduc\u00adtion of sig\u00adnal\u00ading and com\u00admu\u00adni\u00adca\u00adtion cop\u00adper cables as well as fiber optic cables make it a per\u00adfect exten\u00adsion for the expan\u00adsion of the WEINERT group\u2019s capa\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties and capac\u00adi\u00adties; as well as a strate\u00adgic entry into the African mar\u00adket for WEINERT.<\/p>\n

The exten\u00adsion of oper\u00ada\u00adtions that this acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion allows \u2013 with its facil\u00adity of over 300 employ\u00adees- forms a key pil\u00adlar of WEIN\u00adERTs\u2019 long-term growth strat\u00adegy. WEINERT will be able to lever\u00adage its exten\u00adsive expe\u00adri\u00adence and knowl\u00adedge\u00adable staff to fur\u00adther engage with and deliver on the engi\u00adneer\u00ading and oper\u00ada\u00adtional demands from its world\u00adwide busi\u00adnesses and cus\u00adtomers. With the South African unem\u00adploy\u00adment rate hov\u00ader\u00ading around 30%, WEIN\u00adERTs\u2019 invest\u00adment is not only an eco\u00adnomic deci\u00adsion, but also a social respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adity for us as a fam\u00adily owned enter\u00adprise. To fur\u00adther con\u00adfirm our com\u00admit\u00adment to South Africa \u2014 which will become WEIN\u00adERTs largest pro\u00adduc\u00adtion facil\u00adity out\u00adside of Ger\u00admany.
