Dig\u00adity GmbH, a spin-off of the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity Med\u00adical Cen\u00adtre G\u00f6t\u00adtin\u00adgen, has announced that it has secured a seed financ\u00ading round of 1.4 mil\u00adlion euros. This invest\u00adment is sup\u00adported by renowned ven\u00adture cap\u00adi\u00adtal\u00adists from Lower Sax\u00adony, Thuringia and expe\u00adri\u00adenced busi\u00adness angels from all over Ger\u00admany: NBank Cap\u00adi\u00adtal Beteili\u00adgungs\u00adge\u00adsellschaft, bm\u2011t beteili\u00adgungs\u00adman\u00adage\u00adment th\u00fcrin\u00adgen gmbh (bm|t), Life Sci\u00adence Val\u00adley Ven\u00adtures Man\u00adage\u00adment GmbH from G\u00f6t\u00adtin\u00adgen, Mit\u00adtel\u00adst\u00e4ndis\u00adche Beteili\u00adgungs\u00adge\u00adsellschaft Nieder\u00adsach\u00adsen (MBG) mbH from Hanover, the busi\u00adness angel Christoph H\u00f6ynck from M\u00fcn\u00adster and 4SeedImpact Busi\u00adness Angel GmbH from Chem\u00adnitz. The funds will be used to increase sales and pro\u00adduc\u00adtion capac\u00adi\u00adties for the inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive ARTUS pre\u00adven\u00adtion exoskele\u00adton, which aims to improve ergonom\u00adics and occu\u00adpa\u00adtional safety in man\u00adual work processes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 2019, the found\u00ading team has been work\u00ading on exoskele\u00adtons for the hands to address an unsolved prob\u00adlem: More than 30% of acci\u00addents at work involve the hand. Thanks to the EXIST research trans\u00adfer pro\u00adgramme of the Fed\u00aderal Min\u00adistry for Eco\u00adnomic Affairs and Cli\u00admate Pro\u00adtec\u00adtion (BMWK), the team was able to use the sci\u00aden\u00adtific find\u00adings and pro\u00adto\u00adtypes to enter the mar\u00adket. The com\u00adpany was founded in 2023 and is already mar\u00adket\u00ading its first prod\u00aduct, ARTUS. This is a pas\u00adsive exoskele\u00adton that pro\u00adtects the fin\u00adgers from acci\u00addents and exces\u00adsive strain on the skin and fin\u00adger joints. The prob\u00adlem has been unsolved for a long time and shortly after its launch, ARTUS was hon\u00adoured with the 2024 Ergonom\u00adics Award.<\/p>\n
