(IBA), world mar\u00adket leader in par\u00adti\u00adcle accel\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtor tech\u00adnol\u00adogy, and the pub\u00adlic invest\u00adment com\u00adpany Wal\u00adlonie Entre\u00adpren\u00addre Inter\u00adna\u00adtional (WE Inter\u00adna\u00adtional), together with beteili\u00adgungs\u00adman\u00adage\u00adment th\u00fcrin\u00adgen gmbh (bm|t) and a fam\u00adily office, are invest\u00ading a total of EUR 15 mil\u00adlion in mi2-fac\u00adtory GmbH. The Fed\u00aderal Min\u00adistry of Eco\u00adnom\u00adics and Cli\u00admate Pro\u00adtec\u00adtion (BMWK) and the Free State of Thuringia are also pro\u00advid\u00ading a total of EUR 23 mil\u00adlion in pub\u00adlic funds from the IPCEI ME\/CT program.<\/p>\n

The invest\u00adment and fund\u00ading will make it pos\u00adsi\u00adble to bring the patented, pro\u00adpri\u00adetary EFIITRON tech\u00adnol\u00adogy, which has been tested on a lab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtory scale, to indus\u00adtrial matu\u00adrity and to demon\u00adstrate its first indus\u00adtrial use. Chip man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders will use EFIITRON in the future to reduce chip costs, increase reli\u00ada\u00adbil\u00adity and real\u00adize new com\u00adpo\u00adnent and wafer archi\u00adtec\u00adtures. Chip man\u00adu\u00adfac\u00adtur\u00aders will ben\u00ade\u00adfit from the unprece\u00addented pre\u00adci\u00adsion and flex\u00adi\u00adbil\u00adity of deep dop\u00ading in SiC. This enables a cost reduc\u00adtion of up to 30% for sil\u00adi\u00adcon car\u00adbide (SiC) chips. EFIITRON is tar\u00adget\u00ading the strate\u00adgic mar\u00adket of sil\u00adi\u00adcon car\u00adbide power elec\u00adtron\u00adics for e\u2011mobility, renew\u00adable ener\u00adgies, AI data cen\u00adters, trac\u00adtion and indus\u00adtrial dri\u00adves.
