At bm|t we have often high\u00adlighted bold\u00adness as a cen\u00adtral qual\u00adity for founders and com\u00adpa\u00adnies nav\u00adi\u00adgat\u00ading change. As 2026 unfolds, another theme is mov\u00ading to the fore\u00adground: resilience in action \u2013 the abil\u00adity not only to endure a chal\u00adleng\u00ading envi\u00adron\u00adment, but to con\u00advert it into con\u00adcrete progress. In a mar\u00adket still shaped by selec\u00adtive fund\u00ading, higher cap\u00adi\u00adtal costs and rapid tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal shifts, resilient founders are those who keep exe\u00adcut\u00ading, launch\u00ading prod\u00aducts and enter\u00ading mar\u00adkets despite uncertainty.<\/p>\n
In this sense, Q1 2026 has already shown how resilience, com\u00adbined with tech\u00adno\u00adlog\u00adi\u00adcal depth, con\u00adtin\u00adues to under\u00adpin strong invest\u00adment cases in our port\u00adfo\u00adlio. With new financ\u00ading rounds and fresh port\u00adfo\u00adlio addi\u00adtions, we see once again how Thuringia-linked inno\u00adva\u00adtors are shap\u00ading key tech\u00adnol\u00adogy fields \u2013 from IoT and edge com\u00adput\u00ading to the energy tran\u00adsi\u00adtion. Together with our co-investors and part\u00adners, bm|t remains com\u00admit\u00adted to sup\u00adport\u00ading these founders with cap\u00adi\u00adtal, exper\u00adtise and a long-term perspective.<\/p>\n
Your bm|t Team<\/em><\/p>\n 2025 was another strong year for the funds and the port\u00adfo\u00adlio man\u00adaged by bm|t. In total, four Investee Part\u00adner exited, led by the head\u00adline-mak\u00ading acqui\u00adsi\u00adtion of Spleen\u00adlab by Ger\u00adman defence uni\u00adcorn Quan\u00adtum Sys\u00adtems \u2013 a trans\u00adac\u00adtion that show\u00adcased the long-term value cre\u00adation pos\u00adsi\u00adble from early-stage invest\u00adments in Thuringia. Addi\u00adtional exits included Zeilen\u00adwert, scien\u00adova and Crow\u00addAr\u00adchi\u00adtects, fur\u00adther under\u00adlin\u00ading the grow\u00ading depth and matu\u00adrity of the regional inno\u00adva\u00adtion ecosystem.<\/p>\n Deal flow and cap\u00adi\u00adtal rais\u00ading also remained robust despite a chal\u00adleng\u00ading macro\u00adeco\u00adnomic back\u00addrop. Over the course of the year, com\u00adpa\u00adnies in the port\u00adfo\u00adlio par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpated in a total of forty financ\u00ading rounds. bm|t par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpated in twenty-five of these rounds, wel\u00adcom\u00ading six new com\u00adpa\u00adnies into the port\u00adfo\u00adlio and sup\u00adport\u00ading eigh\u00adteen Investee Part\u00adners with fol\u00adlow-on rounds, while com\u00adpa\u00adnies in the port\u00adfo\u00adlio par\u00adtic\u00adi\u00adpated in six\u00adteen financ\u00adings of at least \u20ac1 mil\u00adlion. Alto\u00adgether, bm|t backed com\u00adpa\u00adnies raised approx\u00adi\u00admately \u20ac110 mil\u00adlion in 2025 \u2014 a clear sign of investor con\u00adfi\u00addence in the qual\u00adity and resilience of Thuringia-based innovators.<\/p>\n TGFS, bm|t and Com\u00adpanisto have jointly financed the next growth phase of the deeptech startup Pee\u00adriot GmbH with a seven-fig\u00adure late-seed round. The cap\u00adi\u00adtal will be used to drive the mar\u00adket launch of Peeriot\u2019s enabling IoT run\u00adtime tech\u00adnol\u00adogy, with a par\u00adtic\u00adu\u00adlar focus on the com\u00admu\u00adnity ver\u00adsion of Myrmic.<\/p>\n Peeriot\u2019s mid\u00addle\u00adware addresses one of the largest chal\u00adlenges in the IoT mar\u00adket: the high com\u00adplex\u00adity of soft\u00adware devel\u00adop\u00adment for dis\u00adtrib\u00aduted sys\u00adtems. The solu\u00adtion abstracts the under\u00adly\u00ading hard\u00adware, allow\u00ading appli\u00adca\u00adtions to be devel\u00adoped and oper\u00adated inde\u00adpen\u00addently of the under\u00adly\u00ading device\u2014from high-per\u00adfor\u00admance edge com\u00adput\u00aders to resource-con\u00adstrained micro\u00adcon\u00adtrollers (MCUs). This leads to a sig\u00adnif\u00adi\u00adcantly shorter devel\u00adop\u00adment time, lower cost, and increased secu\u00adrity. For bm|t, this fol\u00adlow-on round builds on our ear\u00adlier invest\u00adment and under\u00adlines our con\u00advic\u00adtion in scal\u00adable deeptech busi\u00adness models.<\/p>\n
