The Jena-based MedTech start-up PERCEPTEC is devel­op­ing a soft­ware-based test pro­ce­dure that, in com­bi­na­tion with vision­ary 3D dis­play tech­nol­ogy, enables a vir­tual eye test to deter­mine defec­tive vision. The eye test can be car­ried out quickly, space-sav­ingly and inde­pen­dently with­out the inter­ven­tion of spe­cial­ist staff. The com­pany is thus mak­ing a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion to effi­cient, low-thresh­old and pre­cise diag­nos­tics in optom­e­try and ophthalmology.
