Matthias Braun has more than 24 years of expe­ri­ence in cor­po­rate invest­ments, fam­ily office man­age­ment, bank­ing, and finance. After train­ing as a banker in Frank­furt am Main and com­plet­ing a part-time degree in busi­ness admin­is­tra­tion at the Frank­furt School of Finance & Man­age­ment, he worked for many years for a ven­ture cap­i­tal com­pany and a long-estab­lished fam­ily office in Munich. In addi­tion to numer­ous real estate projects, he was also respon­si­ble for cor­po­rate invest­ments. For the past four years, he has served as man­ag­ing direc­tor of another fam­ily office, suc­cess­fully imple­ment­ing a cor­po­rate suc­ces­sion process. He joined the bm|t invest­ment team in Sep­tem­ber 2025, focus­ing on late-stage investments.

In his free time, Matthias is in his ele­ment on the water—whether in a canoe, kayak, or aboard a sail­ing ship.
