€1.5 Million Seed Round Completed — Over 12,000 People on the Waitlist
Jena-based AI startup eva AG today announces the launch of the Closed Beta for its product warmwind. warmwind is the first AI operating system from Germany, designed to act as an autonomous cloud employee. The software fully automates repetitive office workflows through a visual interface, providing small and medium-sized enterprises with low-threshold access to the productive use of artificial intelligence.
After two years of development, warmwind is officially exiting stealth mode. Alongside the Beta launch, the team is releasing a comprehensive product video that publicly demonstrates for the first time how the AI operating system works. The video highlights how typical office workflows can be automated by an autonomous cloud employee — intuitively, entirely on German infrastructure, and without the need for custom API integrations. warmwind emphasizes simplicity, data protection, and full GDPR compliance. Starting today, interested users can apply for the Closed Beta via the company’s website or join the public waitlist. In parallel, the system is already being validated in real-world scenarios with selected pilot partners such as the Ad-hoc Group. The video is available at www.youtube.com/@warmwind_OS and across the company’s social media channels.
“Our goal is to make artificial intelligence as accessible as a helpful team member,” says Richard Wieduwilt, co-founder of warmwind. “Many companies understand that automation is essential, but they lack the resources to navigate the complexity of current AI offerings. warmwind aims to be a true alternative — simple, reliable, and built for business.”
In early 2025, the company moved into its office in Jena. The €1.5 million seed round was completed with investments from bm‑t Beteiligungsmanagement Thüringen, BRT Ventures, and a private investor. warmwind is developed entirely in Germany and runs on domestic cloud infrastructure. It is based on a proprietary AI model and a modular architecture that also allows for on-premise deployment within corporate environments.
“We understood early on that trust, control, and user-friendliness are key to successfully implementing AI in business,” says Maximilian Schilling, warmwind’s technical co-founder. “That’s why we build and own the entire technology stack — from the model to the interface. We don’t rely on third-party APIs. This makes our solution both GDPR-compliant and truly independent.”
The warmwind team currently includes around ten employees and is actively hiring in the fields of software engineering and machine learning. The Closed Beta will be gradually expanded over the coming months. Companies and individuals can register at https://warmwind.space to stay informed or apply for early access.
