The mi2-fac­to­ry’s inno­v­a­tive EFIITRON tech­nol­ogy is being devel­oped for the pro­duc­tion of sil­i­con car­bide (SiC) microchips. SiC chips are a key ele­ment of effi­cient elec­tric cars, as well as for energy gen­er­a­tion from wind and sun. EFIITRON dras­ti­cally reduces chip man­u­fac­tur­ing costs, enables new designs and increases the per­for­mance and yield of SiC chips.
