Ralf Schmidt joined the bm|t team as an invest­ment man­ager at the begin­ning of Feb­ru­ary. His respon­si­bil­i­ties also include the man­age­ment and con­trol­ling of invest­ments and the opti­miza­tion of processes. He is look­ing for­ward to advanc­ing and con­tribut­ing to the eco­nomic infra­struc­ture in Thuringia. Born and raised in Weimar, he stud­ied busi­ness administration/intercultural man­age­ment at the Friedrich Schiller Uni­ver­sity in Jena and also suc­cess­fully com­pleted a degree in clin­i­cal psy­chol­ogy at the Uni­ver­sity of Ham­burg. Mr. Schmidt also has exten­sive prac­ti­cal expe­ri­ence in the cap­i­tal mar­ket busi­ness with insti­tu­tional and pri­vate investors at Ger­man and inter­na­tional retail and major banks. He lives in Weimar with his wife and ado­les­cent sons and is very active in sports.
